Functional Taping Featuring RockTape

Functional Taping Featuring RockTape - At All-Pro Health we use RockTape as an adjunct to our treatments. RockTape, which is a type of kinesiology tape, has a unidirectional elastic weave which creates a lift and pull type of effect on the skin to decrease pain and improve movement and performance. When applied, the the tape lifts the skin away from the muscle, increasing blood flow and lymphatic drainage. This in turn promotes healing, decreases swelling, and enhances recovery. RockTape can also be used for decreasing pain and promoting better posture or form during activity.

Trigger Point Dry Needling A trigger point is a “knot" in the muscle tissue that may be tender to the touch. A trigger point may also cause “referred pain," or pain which is distant from the trigger point. For example, a muscle in the hip can cause pain all the way down the leg, and may be mistaken for “sciatic" pain. Trigger points have what is called ‘spontaneous electrical activity’ (SEA) which causes an increase in chemical activity and a build-up of lactic acid.

The Graston Technique®, originally developed by athletes, is an innovative, patented form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables clinicians to effectively break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions. The technique utilizes specially designed stainless steel instruments to specifically detect and effectively treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation.

The Functional Movement Screen (FMS) and Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) The Functional Movement Screen (FMS) and Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) take clients through several movement patterns assessing for movement dysfunctions and asymmetries.
The SFMA is a physical screen used on those with active musculoskeletal pain. It consists of 7 functional movements, which when performed by the patient, help direct the clinician to contributing impairments which may seem unrelated to the main musculoskeletal complaint.

The Microlight ML830® is a FDA approved noninvasive and light-emitting ‘cold laser’ used in the treatment of a variety of soft and connective tissue disorders as well as certain neurological disorders. In contrast to general surgical or cosmetic lasers that produce heat and thermo-destructive laser energy, cold laser produces no harm to human tissue in normal use.

Active Release Technique (ART) is a patented, state of the art soft tissue system/movement based massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. Headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, knee problems, and tennis elbow are just a few of the many conditions that can be resolved quickly and permanently with ART. These conditions all have one important thing in common: they are often a result of overused muscles.

Game Ready

Game Ready® uses NASA technology to create the first-ever sports medicine and post-op recovery device that simultaneously delivers active pneumatic compression and adjustable cold therapies. Through the circulation of ice water and air, Game Ready® helps the body pump away swelling and stimulate the flow of oxygen-rich blood. Efficient and even cooling further reduces swelling, muscle spasms, and pain. Game Ready® is the leader in active compression and cold therapy technology for injury treatment and post-operative recovery.
